Virtual Easter Parade

Filed under: daily life — Cristina de Prada @ 12:51 am

Here's me, virtually parading with Jill ;-)

Well… I didn’t do anything special this Sunday, but I wish I had been with Jill and all hat lovers on a real Easter Parade. No such luck, but here’s a picture of me with a ribbon embroidered veiled hat for the Virtual Easter Parade.

For those curious, I used veil from my vintage stash, and I embroidered the flowers with Mokuba ribbon on top of the veil, to help it stay in place.

  1. A most excellent hat. 🙂

  2. Thanks for joining the parade and (bonus points) for giving a great tip on managing veils. Whoo boy…attaching veils can be a challenge.

I saw your blog got mentioned in the hatchat listserve as a great site to learn millinery technique. And to think you nearly hung up your blogging hat!
I am so glad you stayed and have created such amazing millinery pieces!

  5. You are an artist, Cristina! Before visiting your blog, I didn’t know that real people could make hats like you and your friends do!

  9. I really want to give a big Thank You (and Gracias to those from Spain), for your wonderful support.
I started this blog as a way to find new friends and feel less alone in my passion for hats, for although there’s a lot of us, we tend to be far and apart.
At this point I can say “Mission accomplished” because I’ve made many friends and found the encouragement I needed to keep on making hats (and blogging) from them, from all of you.
    The mission goes on!
