Here are the promised pictures!

First of all, here’s a picture taken yesterday night at Loewe‘s fashion show where we tagged along with my mother. Loewe is a Spanish fashion brand who makes marvelous handbags, but also clothes.

Maria Jose, myself and Laure-Amelie

Here are pictures of the hat taken at home…

  1. Wow, I love it and it is very similar to a hat I have by Philip Somerville (one of the Queen’s milliners!)in colour and in shape. Can I post images here to show you? Or perhaps I can post a link? Let me know, its very similar and that is one of my favourite hats. You are very talented, that is a beautiful hat. I am looking forward to Sunday’s Antique’s Roadshow!

  2. Like it? I LOVE IT!!!! Ohmygosh, that hat is a show stopper. I think you are going to have to drop the “wannabe” part of your blog title. You have nailed the art of millinery.

I want to see the hat in profile, on a person. I personally am not real comfortable posting images of myself, so if you don’t want to do that with yourself as a model I’ll understand, but if you could get one more shot somehow I’d love it.

I doff my hat in honor of your work.

  3. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I’m so happy that you like it and you have so many good things to say!
I will send an email to Cath, ask her to send me the images or links of the Philip Somerville hat so I can post them.
I didn’t post any of the profile pictures because on them I look like an overfed pig (surely the camera’s fault not mine, ahem ahem…) But we will try again, see if we can fix the problem (without resorting to surgery).
